Suzanne in 1960s Vintage Wedding Dress by Priscilla of Boston.

Dear Reader,
Our gorgeous vintage bride this week is Suzanne – in an original vintage 1960s wedding dress by Priscilla of Boston…

Suzanne and Danish husband Jakob married in the impossibly chic surroundings of Lake Como. So the gown had a lot to live up to! But this super-stylish 1960s wedding dress was perfect: Suzanne looked fabulous the moment she first slipped it on – bringing a swoosh of 1960s Italian Riviera glamour to my West London dress studio…

In Suzanne's own words…
"I was never a child who knew the wedding dress of their dreams. And so it was through a little web research of possible stores that started the trail. I visited one other store and even discussed the possibility of modifying my mother’s wedding dress with a designer before stumbling upon Heavenly Vintage Brides."

"Helena invited my Maid of Honour and I into her house and up to her beautifully styled Dressing Room. Categorised by era, each vintage dress was meticulously kept. The dress I chose was designed by Priscilla of Boston who designed the bridesmaid dresses for Grace Kelly!"

"It really fit me like a glove and felt incredible on. Both classic but stylish, I was happy with the decision and couldn't believe I had chosen a dress with long sleeves, a high neck and a long train for an Italian wedding!"

And the pictures speak for themselves, don't they – their wonderful event is straight out of a classic 1960s Hollywood movie!

My new vintage lace cloche veil, 1930s-style a la Kate Moss.

Dear Reader,
Today I'd like to show you the last of my new vintage-inspired veils. This pretty lace cloche or cap veil is inspired by the laid-back glamour of Kate Moss…

Beautiful from all sides, Heavenly's new full length cloche veil.
In turn, Kate's veil is based on original lace veils of the 1920s and 1930s, like these beautiful examples…
As they're modelled on these original vintage veils, my new long cloche veil will of course look perfect with any 1920s or 1930s style wedding dress

These pictures show it with the 1930s-inspired Angel wedding dress from my Heavenly Collection – made in a very fine lace with blush pink underslip. And in the close-up photos, we've also teamed it with a short lace jacket.

But as Kate shows, this style can look amazing with a more contemporary dress too…
My lovely new veil has a cap defined with French lace. There are many options to make it complement your dress – it can be made full length or hip length, and looks wonderful scattered with diamantes, pearls or crystals. Or it can be embroidered around the edges with flowers and leaves. Here it looks pretty with a handmade silk rose...
Chic and sheer, trimmed with lace edging – my new vintage style veils.
I have these gorgeous veils available now – priced at £145 or £175 based on length and detail. They're a beautiful and authentic way to complement a fabulous vintage-style wedding dress!

The perfect complement to a vintage wedding dress… my new veils range.
I've been working on them for a while, and I'm delighted with how they've turned out. I hope you agree!

Hannah in 1930s style wedding dress 'Violette' – Vintage Bride of the Week.

Dear Reader,
Today's vintage bride is Hannah, who chose 1930s style Violette wedding dress from my Heavenly Collection for her Spring wedding.
Hannah was delightful to work with, and together we agreed a few variations to this beautiful silk satin wedding dress: satin ‘petal’ sleeves, subtle champagne beading on the shoulders, and a French lace panel in the back.
It was well worth taking the time to get it right. Lovely Hannah looked gorgeous in the final dress – very glamorous, and softly pretty at the same time.
Clearly everyone agreed! In Hannah's words,
"A huge thank you for creating my amazing dress. I felt absolutely fabulous on the day – and I cannot tell you how many compliments I (but mostly the dress) got!"
Now let's just enjoy seeing beautiful Hannah and her lovely dress in action…!

Thanks for stopping by, reader. If you have a moment to enjoy more lovely Vintage Brides, why not click here...

Jen in original 1940s vintage wedding dress: our Vintage Bride of the Week...

Dear Reader,
Today I'd like to share these charming images from Jen, whose wedding to Dan took place in the romantic surroundings of  Augill Castle in Cumbria...

Jen chose an original 1940s vintage wedding dress in rayon crepe with an elegant 'French knot' pattern – sophisticated and glamorous. With its elegant long sleeves, puddle train and pretty keyhole back, it suited lovely Jen to a T!

Jen prettily teamed it with Rachel Simpson 'Blossom' bridal shoes, roses from Petals of Cumbria and a bespoke jewel necklace. My brilliant seamstress Grace created her pretty headpiece from original vintage brooches.

The wedding's theme was peacock feathers, so luscious jewel blues and greens were everywhere – from the stunning silk bridesmaids dresses (handmade by wonderful step-mum Susan, with a teeny bit of help from Jen) to the gorgeous cakes by talented sister Vicki… and even personalised bunting created by a family friend!
Beautiful bridesmaids! Chloe, Lauren, Sian and Evie...
…and little Rosie too (bribed with marshmallows to sit still for a moment)!
Jen and her darling family loved the experience of choosing the dress…
"Step-mum Susan, my sisters and I loved poring over your blog and website when I was making the choice of where to find my dress. As soon as we read your pages we knew that was it –  I didn't need to look any further.
And the whole experience of picking the dress at your lovely house was so enjoyable for my step-mum Susan and I to do together... so much so I wish I could do it again!"
The day itself was perfect too: an intimate family wedding with just 46 guests (ranging in age from 6 months to a fabulous 103 years!)
And with super-stylish Grandma Irene (103 years young!) in raspberry pink cocktail dress
"The castle was gorgeous – the most stunning setting, with lovely vintage interiors and wonderful service. It even snowed bang on three o'clock as our ceremony started! While we were doing the speeches a deer wandered across the front lawn in front of the windows. Just perfect!"

Congratulations from Heavenly and all our readers to lovely Jen – you look stunning. And of course to lucky husband Dan too!
Love
